DJ Avik Basu
Avik began his tango journey in 2002 and since then has danced, DJ'd, and performed all over North America. Because he sees tango as a way to discover and improve oneself, he is devoted to sharing it with others. His instruction over the better part of the last decade has been instrumental in developing the Ann Arbor tango community. |

Mitra Martin
Mitra Martin is the director with Stefan Fabry of the Oxygen Tango School of LA. Her 11-year devotion to Tango began on the streets of Buenos Aires and led to a profound connection with the enchanted music of Tango. A highly versatile dancer, skilled in both lead and follow, Mitra performs Tango in classic improvisations and experimental work. Mitra holds a certificate in Theater and Dance from Princeton, where she graduated with honors.

DJ Mike McCarrel
Mike began dancing in 2006, and after helping found the Portland State University Argentine Tango Club, he soon began DJing regularly at its events. In 2008, Mike spent 3 months in Buenos Aires, delving deeply into the dance music, studying with several instructors and attending many milongas. Mike co-founded the Mississippi Milonga and Milonga al Norte. He has DJ'd in many US cities and fesitivals in the US and Canada. For Mike, Argentine tango is all about the music.

DJ Shorey Myers
Shorey comes from a background in martial arts and classical music and is an accomplished tango dancer, teacher and dj. As great as her love of the dance is her love of the music, a passion which is evident whenever she steps behind the DJ booth. She DJs all over the country (Portland, New York City, Washington DC, San Francisco, Seattle, Ann Arbor, etc). She loves to keep both very traditional and very alternative crowds dancing all night long.

DJ Felipe Martinez
Felipe has been dancing Argentine Tango since 1997. He is a prominent tango teacher in the San Francisco/Bay Area where he also runs practicas and milongas and is a regular DJ. He shares his passion for tango wherever he goes and is constantly being invited to participate in the most popular events around the country such as Portland, DC, Atlanta, and Houston. He also DJs in the communities of Providence, Montreal, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, many European countries, and in Buenos Aires, where in 2009 he was invited twice to play music at El Beso. |

DJ Adam Hoopengardner
Adam has been DJing since 2006. He has played in the US, Canada, Argentina, Germany, Poland, and Puerto Rico. He DJ's traditional music ranging from the 20's - the 50's and 60's but maintains a strong focus on golden age tangos which are appreciated by most dancers. He also DJ's Alternative music as he hosts, with his partner Ciko, New York City's only weekly Alternative milonga, Tango Cafe. He has been Djing regularly at this event for over 3 years. This has given him a lot of experience playing danceable non-tango music.
